"by far the best concert of this season"
"I heard so many wonderful comments from the audience about the performance especially that it was by far the best concert of this season.  The Trio captivated our members with their talented musical performance and their sense of humor. They had a wonderful rapport with the audience before, during the performance and afterwards. It's quite apparent that they have great camaraderie and they work effortlessly together to deliver a beautiful sound.  It was a most enjoyable concert...standing ovations!"

"the most enjoyable evening of music we have experienced.”
"The talent of these three men is completely astounding.  The variety of music generated from three instruments was way beyond what we imagined possible.  Of course, the humorous audience interaction was great fun and relaxing.  We could not have been better pleased with the evening; probably, the most enjoyable evening of music we have experienced.”

"it alone was worth the price of this year's season ticket."
"Everyone seemed to be delighted with the Crosswinds Trio's performance Saturday. One man came up to me during the intermission and told me that it alone was worth the price of this year's season ticket. Another person told me that it was the best concert she has ever been to. The friend I was sitting with was amazed at the sound three instruments could make during the Gershwin tribute--she said they made it sound like there was a whole orchestra. (I thought the same thing.) The next morning at brunch, a friend told me that he especially liked the Mussorgsky "Pictures at an Exhibition" suite and the Ewazen "Pastorale" (so did I--they should definitely record it! or maybe they should just record the whole program). One of the churches had a potluck dinner to welcome their new assistant pastor, and everyone there was talking about what a terrific concert it was. The guys were very amiable and really kept the audience entertained--in addition to creating some very memorable music! So--you definitely have a winner here!"

"The personal individuality is special and the musicianship extraordinary."   “The Crosswinds Trio is very special indeed.  The personal individuality is special and the musicianship extraordinary.  The balance between performing as a group yet highlighting each individual is excellent.  The repertoire that was presented showed the ability to perform varying styles of music with ease which satisfied individual tastes.  Your commentary about the group and the music enhanced the program tremendously and gave the audience an opportunity to see you as individuals rather than just people on the stage.  As a group and as individuals you performed extremely well showing your talents and wonderful musical sensitivity.   Thank you for a wonderful performance.”

"their easy humor really resonated with our audience"
"I would like to express SBCCA's appreciation for the excellent and very enjoyable concert presented by The Crosswinds Trio last night. The group and their program were very well received by our audience of ~1,200. All three are excellent & very professional musicians. Their classical/jazz selections as well as their easy humor really resonated with our audience. We hope to invite them back for a future SBCCA event.

"The Crosswinds Trio concert for us was a great success"
."The Crosswinds Trio concert for us was a great success.  We were very
pleased not only with their performance but with the significant pre-
concert communication regarding program details, etc.  Not only were
they outstandingly talented artists, they were very comfortable on-
stage with our audience and all had a great sense of humor.  Program
selections were audience pleasers. They also received a standing
ovation for the performance of "Figaro, Figaro..." just prior to the
close of the first half of their performance.  Well done.  We would
definitely consider them again for a future return to Wolfeboro"

"Lancaster (Pennsylvania) Community Concert Association greatly enjoyed a concert on May 11, 2005. The program was the perfect mix of classical pieces and popular American works, thus meeting the tastes of most of our 1,500 patrons. With interesting and sometimes humorous introductions, the audience enjoyed both the personalities and the quality of the music presented. Plus, three musicians with talent and a good program can realize a successful concert in a far more affordable way than a large orchestra."

"It was truly a pleasure to have the Trio here in DuBois. The performance was extremely enjoyable and that sentiment was voiced by many of the audience. Your taking time to meet with the youth at the Middle School the next day was appreciated. I was kind of surprised to see them so attentive. The instrument explanations and tube/funnel demonstrations were enjoyed by we adults, as well (next time maybe you can put some of that in the regular performance). From a personal standpoint, you were all a joy to work with! The Brubeck discussions were a delight."

"The Crosswinds Trio recently did an outstanding job at our worship service, both with their performance pieces and playing along on the hymns. I would highly recommend them to any church. Our church members loved the way their instruments wove together and became part of the service and have described them as "inspirational", "brilliant", and "uplifting".

"The Blessed Jazz Vespers program was a wonderful juxtaposition of scripture and musical selections.  The arrangements for this unique instrumentation of trumpet, horn and piano were outstanding and the musicianship of the three performers was first class, sensitive and sensuous.  The concert concluded with the audience wishing for more"

Dear Friends,

It is with great enthusiasm I recommend the Crosswinds Trio to your community.  This gifted group recently used their music to lead our church community for our two Sunday services.  Their music and leadership was greatly appreciated!

They led with spirited hymn music as well as creative anthems and performance offerings.  The theme of the day accentuated a more Jazz-type genre, but they displayed their ability to lead in multiple musical expressions.  In addition, they were accommodating and flexible in weaving their music leadership into the whole fabric of our worship experience.

You can be sure we will invite them to share their gift of music leadership again and again!

In Christ’s Joyful Service,

Reverend Tim Harrison

"The Crosswinds Trio was the musical dessert for our gourmet Luncheon with Il Maestro at the Stanton Ridge Country Club on June 11, 2006.  All the members of the Friends of the Red Mill said it was a most enjoyable virtuoso performance by talented musicians Lawrence Kursar, and his cohorts. Your generous performance was appreciated and enjoyed by everyone.  They raved!"

"This is a dream come true for our church to have the Crosswinds Trio come to our church and share their talents, faith, and fellowship during dinner. Not only are they professional and so musically talented, they are down to earth, people people and very social with the audience. The interaction during the program with the readings as well as singing was awesome. Can't wait to book them again!"

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful music!  You guys were fabulous!  Your professionalism, musicality and varied repertoire brought our worship to life!  Our small congregation has no real music program to speak of, but they love music and were visibly tapping their toes and smiling during your songs.  What a treat to have your talent grace our sanctuary and lift our spirits to the rafters."

"The Crosswinds Trio performed magnificently at our major statewide rally.  What a joyous, inspired, and brilliant rendition of Gospel classics!  The usually staid gathering was moved to spontaneous amen’s!   We couldn’t have gotten better and are already planning our next worship based on their availability.  From a planning perspective, they will play anything with zestful excellence and couldn’t be more flexible and attentive.  Absolutely fabulous!"

"The Crosswinds Trio presents a wonderful evening of entertainment - beautiful music in a wide variety of tempos and styles, featuring something for everyone; humorous interaction with the audience; and creatively planned program choices that make it easy for any worship director or arts coordinator to select appropriate music for the venue and audience.  At both concerts they have performed at our church, the Trio has played with emotion and incredible skill; we have been delighted with their concerts and will certainly be booking them again and again."
